Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs, Nabila Makram visited Washington DC on February 2016 , where she met with the US-Egyptian chamber of commerce and members of the Egyptian Community in the East Coast.

Representatives of the Central bank of Egypt, Ministries of Housing and Investment accompanied the Minister during her visit. Many Issues were discussed in the two meetings pertaining to how the communication between Cairo and the Expatriates to be improved, recent developments in Egypt both politically and economically, the  effective methods to create Egyptian Diaspora in the U.S. , and the role of “Tahya Masr” “Long Live Egypt” fund in supporting the economic and social development .
