A reception for 70 college students from 6 different countries
In continuation of the annual tradition that has started thirty six years ago, the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Washington DC hosted a reception for 70 college students from 6 different countries who participate in this year’s program at Osgood Center for International Studies.
During the event, Mr. Wael Hamed, Deputy Chief of Mission, gave a brief lecture on the current developments in Egypt and the Middle East, the relations between Egypt and the United States, and other regional and international issues like counter terrorism.
Hamed, together with his Embassy colleague Counselor Dr. Alaa Abdelaziz, had an open discussion with the students on the topics of concern, and answered their questions which focused on the current economic situation in Egypt, and the Egyptian efforts to reach peaceful solutions to the Middle East conflicts.
