Promoting the EEDC in Sharm el-Sheikh

JAC_1263-Th
On February 26, 2015 I, in coordination with the Harvard Business Club in Washington DC, hosted twenty-one Chairmen, CEOs and Presidents of leading US enterprises working in different fields, such as the cement industry, investment fund management, tourism, international consultation, construction, food and beverage etc. This event was among many efforts exerted by the Embassy to promote the Egypt Economic Development Conference in Sharm el-Sheikh on 13-15th March 2015. My speech and the discussions during the event focused on the following:
-Bringing together leading international figures from the worlds of business, finance and politics, the conference demonstrated to a new generation of investors why they can place their confidence in Egypt, which is now both politically stable and ready to accelerate its economic growth, and has not had a single US investor exit the Egyptian market during the last four years.
-Showcasing the progress of Egypt’s ambitious, ongoing economic reform program, the EEDC fostered new conversations, ideas and opportunities about the future of Egyptian prosperity. Working with our partners, we can create the growth that will support a new era of human development in Egypt, promote regional stability, and deliver returns for investors.
