H.E. Dr. Mohamed Abdelatty the Minister of water resources and irrigation of Egypt visited the United States from 7th to 12th of August to participate in a ministerial workshop hosted by the World Bank for the minsters of water of Egypt, Sudan, and Ethiopia. The informal workshop included field visit to Nevada where the participants were briefed about international experiences of transboundary water management, methods of filling and operating dams, and the legal dynamics of transboundary rivers in the United States particularly the Colorado, Columbia, and Rio Grande rivers. In Washington DC, the minister held meetings with the relevant officials of the World Bank as well as a meeting in which he briefed the members of the Egyptian Embassy about water management in Egypt.
