This morning on CNN, Egyptian Ambassador to the United States Mohamed Tawfik addressed the growing extremist threat in Libya as well as Egypt’s support of UN efforts to reach a national unity government in Libya. He stated, “the President is expressing his vision about the challenges that are facing the Arab world and about how we need to work collectively as Arabs to confront them.” He continued, “this is not just a vision for Egypt on its own. Egypt on its own is acting and is on the front line of this confrontation with these terrorists. It’s a vision for collective action, which requires collective action from our partners.”
