During my visits to various cities I have had the pleasure of speaking with many members of the U.S. Egyptian community. During my conversations I was particularly inspired by our youth, young Egyptians who play a key role in their local communities, and proudly represent Egypt while doing so. Their achievements and success stories are recognized and highly appreciated by many international and local associations. However, many of their stories are not known amongst our community. As such, the Embassy would like to honor these community members by granting them the Embassy’s “Leading by Example” award presented during Egypt’s National Day celebrations in July. I look forward to receiving your nominations for the young women and men who deserve this award.
